Why Peak Fitness Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a hands on treatment approach that aims to assess, diagnose and treat a range of movement disorders. These can be caused by muscle imbalances, joint dysfunctions, nerve irritation and impingement, and repetitive or postural related abnormalities. Increasing evidence is continually emerging regarding the benefits that physiotherapy can provide in returning patients to top physical health.
An increasing amount of physiotherapists are becoming reliant on machines and electrotherapies to treat their patients. While this may be used as part of a treatment, it should never be used as a sole modality of treatment.
At Peak Fitness Physiotherapy we apply a hands on approach to not only alleviate symptoms, but to figure out why you became symptomatic in the first place. Our highly skilled physiotherapists will take you through a comprehensive assessment to highlight key areas of your body that may be dysfunctional and therefore potentially causing pain. A treatment plan will be discussed with you to aim to get you back to your peak fitness as soon as possible.
Following this thorough assessment, you will receive a hands on session which may involve soft tissue releases, joint mobilisations, trigger point releases, heat and cold therapy and strength and conditioning. As part of the session, your physiotherapist will also prescribe some exercises for you to continue with at home. These exercises aim to prevent the recurrence of those annoying niggling symptoms!
